Meet Your CPA - Phil Spruell

Phil Spruell Phil Spruell is the managing partner of Baudier & Spruell. He has worked in public accounting in the Houston area since 1971. Rhonda Baudier and he joined forces eight years ago to establish the firm of Baudier & Spruell.

Phil graduated from the University of Arizona in May 1969 with a degree in accounting. He spent two years in the U.S. Army following graduation, and has been a public accountant in Houston ever since. He passed the CPA exam and received his CPA designation in 1973. He returned to school at the University of Houston at night to acquire his Master of Science in Accountancy in December of 1976.

He has recently completed the course structure at the University of Houston to become a Certified Financial Planner and is currently studying for the exam to add that designation.

Phil has worked predominantly in the tax and small client accounting arena for most of his career. His greatest satisfaction is to be able to provide a variety of expertise to his clients to assist them in the development and growth of their businesses and personal financial situations.

His greatest accomplishments are to be married to the same lovely lady for more than thirty years, and to have two children who have graduated from Rice University. Kenneth is married and working on an MBA at the University of Texas in Austin. Kimberly is working for E.I. DuPont de Nemours in Waynesboro, Virginia.

Other outside interests include soccer (go USA in the 2002 World Cup) and an avid interest in photography.
